1. What does it mean to Champion an ongoing series?

Championing an ongoing series is a monthly subscription that:

  • Supports the translator and the original rights holders

  • Gives you access to:

    • All currently published chapters

    • A number of unpublished (advance) chapters depending on the tier

? Whether you're upgrading, downgrading, starting fresh, or continuing, your access always starts ahead of the latest published chapter by the number of advance chapters specified in your tier—not from a different point in the story.

Subscriptions are monthly and auto-renew on the same day each month.
For example, if you subscribe on the 15th, your next payment will be charged on the 15th of the following month unless you cancel or the novel ends.


2. If I subscribe to a novel, how long will I have access to its chapters?

  • Published chapters: Accessible only while your subscription is active

  • Unpublished chapters (advance chapters): Any chapter you read while subscribed will remain permanently unlocked, even after your subscription ends


3. If I upgrade my Champion tier, what do I pay?

Champion tier upgrades are prorated based on your current subscription.

Example:

If you move from a $5 tier to a $20 tier with half the month remaining, you’ll be charged about $7.50 for access to the $20 tier for the rest of that month. At your next billing date, you'll be charged the full $20.

15-Day Upgrade Rule:

  • If you upgrade with 15 or more days left, the prorated calculation applies.

  • If you upgrade with fewer than 15 days left, you'll:

    • Pay half the price of the higher tier

    • Get 15 days of access at the new tier

    • Be charged the full amount for the new tier at the next renewal


4. What does it mean to be a Champion of a completed series?

Championing a completed series grants access to all chapters of the novel for the duration of the subscription.
It removes the need to use Cultivation Keys, Karma, or Wait to Unlock.

Completed series do not offer advance chapters.

Note: Not all completed series support Champion subscriptions due to licensing agreements.


5. What is Wait to Unlock?

Wait to Unlock (WTU) allows free chapter access after a cooldown:

  • Chinese novels: 2 chapters per day

  • Korean novels: 1 chapter per day

WTU works alongside:

  • Cultivation Keys (earned)

  • Golden Karma (purchased)


6. How do Cultivation Keys work?

  • Each Cultivation Key unlocks one chapter, regardless of length.

  • Earned via:

    • Daily login (with streak bonuses)

    • Reading new chapters (missions)

Track and redeem your rewards via the Daily Rewards page.


7. What does the "Read X new chapters" mission mean?

  • “New chapters” = any chapter you have never read before, regardless of how you unlock it (WTU, Karma, Keys, etc).

  • Rereading or unlocking previously read chapters does not count.

Multiple missions will track progress simultaneously.


8. What happens if I upgrade my VIP subscription duration?

VIP upgrades are also prorated.
You’ll receive site credits equal to the value of the upgrade.


9. What are the benefits of the VIP subscription?

All VIP subscribers receive:

  • Site credits equal to payment amount (web-only)

  • Offline reading in the app

  • Early sneak peeks

  • VIP comment flair

Gold & Diamond VIP tiers offer:

  • Additional Ebook voucher rewards

  • More completed novels per month

VIP credits are not issued for subscriptions purchased through Apple or Google due to platform restrictions.


10. How do I use my site credits?

  • Site credits are automatically applied to Champion subscriptions (website only).

  • If credits are insufficient, the remainder will be charged to your payment method.


11. When do I get more site credits?

Credits are added at the start of each VIP billing period:

  • Example: $15 for 3-month VIP Silver = $15 in site credits added immediately

Renewal credits are issued the same way each cycle.


12. I'm a VIP Gold/Diamond subscriber — how do I claim an Ebook?

  • VIP Gold: 1 voucher every 6 consecutive months

  • VIP Diamond: 1 voucher every 3 consecutive months

If you prepay, you'll receive the voucher immediately.
Redeem vouchers from the Ebooks Page.


13. Which currency will be spent first?

  • With auto-unlock on, Cultivation Keys are used before Karma

  • Manual unlock: you can choose which to use


14. What is Karma?

Karma is a virtual currency used to unlock chapters:

  • Regular Karma (earned before Oct 9, 2024)

  • Golden Karma (purchased)

Chapters cost ~30 Karma on average.
Neither type of Karma expires.


15. How does Golden Karma work?

  • $4.99 = 1000 Golden Karma

  • Unlocks chapters 

  • Purchase via:

    • Website (PayPal, Stripe)

    • Android app (Google Play)

    • iOS app (Apple Store)


16. Do you sell Ebooks of completed series?

Yes! Ebooks in .EPUB, .MOBI, and .PDF are available on the Ebooks Page.

Sponsored chapters during a novel’s translation reduce the Ebook cost. If you spent $30 sponsoring a $30 Ebook—your cost = $0.

Ebook vouchers can also be redeemed here.

Some titles are also available on Amazon with re-edits and covers.


17. Where can I download my Ebooks?

Go to the My Ebooks page by clicking your profile icon in the top-right of the website.

Go to the Discover page then click the Ebook tab on the app.


18. Which credit/debit cards are accepted?

We accept:

  • Visa

  • MasterCard

  • American Express

  • Apple Pay

  • Google Pay

  • Microsoft Pay

  • PayPal


19. Are my payment details safe?

Yes. Payments are handled by:

  • Stripe (used by Amazon, Kickstarter, etc.)

  • Braintree/PayPal

Wuxiaworld does not store card numbers or sensitive payment info.


20. I would like a refund — what should I do?

For incorrect charges or billing issues, please contact our support team.

Please also review our Refund Policy for eligibility.


Refund Policy

Digital subscriptions are normally not eligible for refunds, and general policy is that all sales are final.
If you would like a refund for a digital subscription you may contact us through our customer support page.

Please include your site username and the email address associated with your account. Refund requests will be assessed and considered based on each individual case’s circumstances.

Wuxiaworld may but is under no obligation to issue a refund for reasons including (but not limited to):

  • A change of mind
  • Accidental purchase
  • No longer requiring the subscription
  • Goodwill requests

If a refund request is accepted, the funds will be sent to the original payment method used.

In general, refund requests for digital subscriptions will only be approved in cases where a translator/translation team has not met their weekly translation commitment for two weeks in the same month. This does not apply if you subscribe during a period of less frequent releases after the translator has given advance forewarning.
