How Often Are Novels Updated?

Modified on Thu, May 29 at 1:13 PM

Update frequency depends on each novel's translator and current schedule.

  • Most ongoing novels are updated daily to weekly.

Typically, Chinese novels are updated at a pace of two new chapters per day, whereas Korean novels are updated a pace of one chapter per day.

However, the update frequency may vary depending on the specific novel. For example, a Chinese novel with extremely long chapters may release at a pace of one chapter per day. Or, if a novel is still being actively written in China/Korea, and our translation has almost caught up with the latest written chapter, then our translation speed will be dependent upon the author's writing speed.

  • You can check the release pace by viewing recent announcement or post on the novel’s About page.

Changes to update frequencies are generally communicated through posts on novels. When a post is made on a novel, a notification is sent to active readers of the novel, and a novel's posts are also listed near the bottom of the table of content's About tab.

⚠️ Updates may slow if the translation is catching up to the original, or if the translator is on break.
